Autumn is the the best time to plant trees and shrubs - there is still warmth in the ground to get the roots settled and growing and the advantage of the autumn rains for establishment before the cold winter hits.

Mulch you garden to supress weeds so that you are well prepared over the cold months and into spring when the real growth will hit.
