Our Venues

Rivers is the perfect, unique place to celebrate your special function or event. We have two stunning venues to offer, suiting small boutique day time functions and larger day and evening functions.

The Gallery is a stunning stand alone day time and evening venue. It features 30 ft exposed Tallowood eucalyptus posts in a rustic architecturally designed building with a modern twist. By day it accentuates an airy natural light including lakeside views and by night, a striking atmosphere with feature lights as well as the flood lit terrace.  It caters for 40 to 150 guests, depending on the style of function chosen.

Café Upstairs is purely a day time venue and as the name suggests, is located upstairs from our main day time café. It is a smaller humble and more intimate venue that boasts a seductive and elegant mood with its dark tones and smart fit out. It caters for 20 -50 guests which also depends of the style of function chosen.

I just want to say a massive thank you for organising my event. All the women were delighted with the day. The food was perfect and suited everyone, the drinks we selected were appropriate, the venue and set up was just beautiful and the staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant throughout.

I have forgotten the name of the lady in control ( I'm now old!!!) but she was charming and nothing was too much trouble, even taking photographs for me of the group. It was everything that I had hoped it would be and I have absolutely no negative issues.Whoever managed to cut the cake did a super job as I took the middle section home and everyone had a slice with their name. I could not imagine myself cutting that monster! Please extend my thanks to all the chefs and wait staff who were involved. They were awesome in their role.

Food & Beverage

We offer a wide range of packages in order to cater for a range of styles and budgets. By day we offer breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, as well as a variety of lunch options. By night we offer relaxed finger food functions, gorgeous buffets, shared tables menus, casual terrace Bbq and lovely sit down two and three course dinners.

Our food packages include use of the venue exclusively, our professional staff and the lovely food included in your chosen option. Our team of Chefs are committed to producing delicious, high quality foods utilising local and regional produce. They take pride in the presentation of the food produced, adding a unique touch to your special occasion which will have your guests talking.

We proudly accommodate for a range of diets and allergies in our packages. All menus offer Gluten Free, Pescatarian, Vegetarian and Vegan variations with prior notice.

Please note Rivers is a fully catered venue therefore self catering is not permitted.

BREAKFAST

Shared Table Breakfast
(Available in The Gallery & Café Upstairs $30 per person)
This delightful package is a great way of getting together and enjoying breakfast casually without having to queue up at a main Buffet. We serve your Shared Table Breakfast on platters to the centre of each table. You can also include additional dishes if you would like to make your menu more substantial. Tea and coffee is served throughout your function.

Grazing Finger Food

Our finger food graze package offers menus to cater for parties and occasions with varying budgets and needs. The three menus are set so items cannot be swapped around, however you can add any item onto your chosen menu. We also offer a selection of savoury platters as well as sweet finger foods,a great way of adding variety.

Sit Down Luncheon - Two Course or Three Course
(Available in The Gallery $45/$55 per person & Café Upstairs $45/$55 per person)
We have a lovely selection of main courses and desserts for you to choose for your Luncheon. Two main meals and desserts are chosen prior to the day which are served on an alternating basis to your guests. There are also additional share platters that can be added for a starter/entree or even as a side to your main meals. Tea and coffee is served at the end of function.

The Eco Terrace BBQ Lunch

This function is designed to be a very easygoing relaxed package on the Lakeside Terrace without any formal table seating arrangements. The theatre of our chefs as they cook amongst your guests adds a great element to the night. The main BBQ meal is served with eco plates and cutlery outside where your guests can mingle and eat casually inside or out ulitising the casual seating, couches, dry bars and chairs. We then serve a selection of roving mini desserts and tea and coffee.

The Tuscan Buffet Lunch

The Tuscan Buffet is a substantial package that comprises of a delicious Antipasto Sharing Board served to each table at the same time the main course buffet is being served. The food is Italian inspired with Meat, Seafood and Pasta dishes served with salads and gourmet breads. Dessert is then served into the centre of each table followed by tea, coffee & almond bread.

This shared table approach is such a lovely way to enjoy our gorgeous food served on stunning platters and boards to each table. Your guests can help themselves to a range of dishes to their personal liking with convenience and ease. Our stunning dessert board will be sure to impress along with a beautiful cheeseboard and lavoche followed by tea and coffee.

Weddings

For a truly unique and memorable wedding, you can’t go past Rivers. This gorgeous haven is set in the most peaceful and tranquil lakeside setting within an grounds of Rivers of Yarrambat— a destination lifestyle centre. Conveniently located in the Diamond Valley, Rivers is only 45 minutes north east from Melbourne, 25 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from the Yarra Valley.

The Ceremony

Rivers is the perfect place for your special wedding ceremony. Our garden, boardwalk and terrace lakeside settings create beautiful backdrops for photo opportunities for the bride, groom and bridal party. We have ample free off street parking and can cater for the smallest intimate wedding to larger weddings of up to 150 guests.

Our Celebration Reception

We cater for all tastes and budget by offering an extensive range of packages for you to choose from. These range from traditional, contemporary, casual to upmarket. Our lunches and dinners are fabulous and include choices of finger food, shared table, buffet and sit down dinners. If you are looking for something different you might like our fabulous breakfast, fine afternoon teas, themed or unique BBQ dinner. Themed Parties

For something that little bit different, we offer ‘Themed’ Party/Event packages providing a real point of difference. Each theme includes styling, entertainment and options of food & beverages to match. From Casino Royale to a Murder Mystery or Spanish Fiesta Party, our Themed packages are completely unique, fun and will have your guests taking part and getting into the swing of things!

Kids Parties

Rivers is the perfect playground for Kids Parties! Our parties are fun, hands on and educational with a range of different party options to choose from. Leave it all to us, take out the stress and make it an enjoyable experience! Most of our parties are held on Saturdays, unless it’s school  holidays. Parties generally run with starting times of 10am,12pm or 2pm. If you wish to run a party on a Sunday or Public Holiday, a surcharge applies.

All parties include;

Our workshop parties are designed to suit children aged from 7-11 years old. 
We can facilitate up to 30 children, with a minimum of 15 required. The focus of workshop parties is to educate and for children to have a hands on approach to create and make arts/crafts to take home. Optional food and beverages or party menus can be added on to enjoy after the workshop.

Activity Parties (Location changes) $24.95 per child
Our workshop parties are designed to suit children aged from 7-11 years old. 
We can facilitate up to 30 children, with a minimum of 15 required. The focus of workshop parties is to educate and for children to have a hands on approach to create and make arts/crafts to take home. Optional food and beverages or party menus can be added on to enjoy after the workshop.

Dress Up & Games Parties @ The Treetops Room (Mezzanine) $19.95 per child
Our dress up & games parties are designed to suit children aged from 4-7 years old.
We can facilitate up to 30 children, with a minimum of 15 required. Children are invited to come dressed up to the chosen party theme and participate in a range of fun games & activities.

Day Spa Parties (@ Rivers Hair, Beauty & Spa) $49.95 - $99.95 per child
Our day spa parties are designed to suit children aged from 10-16 years old.
We can accommodate up to 12 guests, with a minimum of 4 required.
Packages include manicures, mini makeovers and hair styling with curls or straightening.

*Note that Day Spa Parties are coordinated directly with the day spa manager. Our functions team will assist in coordinating this with you.

Memorials

At Rivers we offer a beautiful, tranquil setting making it the perfect place to reflect and celebrate the life of your loved one for a special memorial.

You can choose from our standard range of function packages offered or you can choose from our specially formulated memorial packages for groups of 50-150 guests. 

The Gallery offers a digital flat screen TV where you can play a slideshow of photos for your guests. We can also play your chosen music and there is a wireless microphone system if required. Our fine professional service matched with a smile will not go unnoticed and we strive to ensure that you and your guests are taken care of in every way possible.

Fundraisers

Apart from the Charity High Teas that are run by Rivers throughout the year, we have hosted many Charity Fundraisers at The Gallery organised by schools, clubs and groups who are looking  for something a different. It’s a great way of raising money by selling tickets to the event at a higher price that what we charge.

We recently hosted an Afternoon Tea fundraiser for The World’s Greatest Shave which was a huge success. Rivers donated time for the hair studio staff to attend the event and shave the heads of the three lovely women who between them raised over $20,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
