With their ornamental swirls, spots and stripes in black, silver, green, red and purple in a range of metallic sheens and interesting shapes this is one striking foliage plant. The Rex Begonia has small flowers, but they are inconsequential compared to its leaves.
Height: 20-50cm
As frost-tender subtropical plants, Rex Begonias are perfect for indoors. Place them indoors in bright light but out of direct sun. Avoid keeping the soil too wet, allow the top to dry slightly between waterings. Fertilise with an indoor plant food regularly over the warmer months.
