Hospitality
CAFE CHEF - Full Time
We are looking for a permanent chef to work in our fast-paced kitchen and join our friendly cafe team. PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to support candidates who require visa sponsorship.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes in accordance with our menu specifications
- Maintain the highest food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Be responsible for your station while actively communicating with the kitchen team
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create an efficient workflow and provide timely service
- Work to a 4-week rotating roster with one weekend off per month, daytime shifts only with no nights
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a broad range of skills and excellent attention to detail
- Be passionate about cooking with fresh, local produce
- Work well under pressure and with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrate excellent initiative and the ability to multi-task
- Have experience in a similar cafe environment
- Have experience in A la carte service and cold larder
Bonus if you have experience preparing cafe-style cakes, pastries and more!

BARISTA/ALL ROUNDER
Casual – Monday/Thursday + Saturdays
We’re looking for an experienced barista and hospo all-rounder to join our team. This exciting role calls for applicants with a friendly, customer-focused approach. And of course, a passion for coffee is a must!
The ideal candidate will:
- Have recent experience behind the machine
- Be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Possess a sound knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment including how to adjust the grind
- Expertly and efficiently craft a range of hot and cold beverages to customer specifications
- Provide a warm and welcoming customer experience, accurately taking orders, and ensuring the highest standard of service
- Maintain the highest food safety and hygiene standards, and a clean and organised workspace

CLEANER - Casual
2 Shifts Per Week - Thurs + Fri 3.00 to 5.00pm
We are looking for a fast and efficient person to join our team! In this role you will perform cleaning duties throughout the Rivers complex including bathrooms, the Café floors and more.
Our ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment. If you have experience in a similar hospitality environment, this is advantageous.

GIFT SHOP SALES ASSISTANT - Seasonal Casual
Approx 10 hours a week, with mostly weekday shifts.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Assistant to join our Home, Fashion + Gifts team in The Shop at Rivers. The ideal candidate would have retail experience within the homewares, fashion and giftwares space.
The role is perfect for a professional retail superstar who is passionate about providing friendly service and an unforgettable customer experience. The role entails approximately 10 hours per week with mostly weekday shifts.
Duties include:
- Creating a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers, assisting with inquiries and offering product recommendations.
- Daily store operations, including restocking shelves, maintaining visual standards, and ensuring a clean and organised store environment.
- Process sales transactions via our point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash handling and card payments.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous retail experience in a similar setting
- An eye for detail and merchandising
- Great time management and organisational skills
- A warm demeanour and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- The ability to work both independently and as part of our friendly team
- A passion for fashion, giftware, and home décor
- Flexibility to work some weekend shifts.
