The Barrow (first known as the Coffee Cart) was established over Covid and became our saving grace! Our humble little cart made such an impact on us as a business, our staff, and for our local community, helping us get through the lockdowns and the rollercoaster that 2020 and 2021 brought us.
We will be forever grateful for the support that our customers gave us, and after so many requests to keep the Cart as a permanent feature, we custom designed a 20 ft container to house this bustling new part of the business! Delivered and fitted in February 2022, our little lockdown lifesaver got a glow up and a rebrand - and is now The Barrow- Coffee, Baker + Grocer.
The Barrow is operated by the Rivers Hospitality team, so you can be assured of the same quality of food and drinks that we are renowned for. We offer a delicious array of foods ready to go from toasties, gourmet quiches and pies, to seasonal fresh salads and bagels. You can also find the most amazing range of housebaked cakes, slices and biscuits, not to mention the delicious donuts and scones that are baked fresh daily.

Terrace Takeaway Area
Want to sit and enjoy your food and beverages from The Barrow? We invite you to "take in" your goodies to The Terrace. Overlooking our gorgeous grounds and duck pond, The Terrace is a dedicated outdoor space for guests to sit and relax with takeaway purchased from The Barrow. Join friends for deliciously fluffy scones with jam and cream, or keep the kids entertained watching our friendly ducks while you enjoy a coffee!
The Terrace is ideal for casual dining - and makes a great alternative if you're unable to secure a table in our popular indoor Cafe.
